How Often Should You Wash a Wig? Start With Your Wearing Routine
Use the washing interval recommended for your exact wig, rather than automatically copying how often you wash your own hair. Count how you actually wear it and check what the maker means by a wear. EVUNIA’s linked Aurora listing gives a care method but does not publish a washing interval. Resolve that detail before buying if you need a predictable weekly routine.

1. Translate the instructions into your own pattern of wear
Jon Renau’s synthetic-fiber care card recommends washing its covered pieces after six to eight wears. That is a manufacturer’s instruction for its own products, not an EVUNIA interval. It also should not be silently changed into six to eight calendar days. Six wears on six consecutive days and six wears spread over six weeks describe different calendars; neither example gives permission to leave a particular wig unwashed for that long.
Before ordering, write down how many days you expect to wear the wig, roughly how long each wearing lasts and what styling products you plan to use. Ask whether the maker’s wear count assumes a typical day and what would change the recommendation for your routine. A short dinner and a full workday are useful details to explain; do not invent your own conversion between hours and wears.
For Aurora with Golden Mixed Layers selected, the listed instructions call for gentle detangling from the ends upward, suitable care products, gentle washing and air drying. They do not specify a number of wears between washes. Ask for the intended interval and the circumstances that call for a different care step. If you already own the wig and notice a change, describe when it appeared and what you used instead of assuming that another wash will resolve it.

2. Plan the wash-day gap before committing to the purchase
Put the whole routine on your calendar, including preparation and the period when the wig is drying. The Aurora listing does not provide a verified drying time. Do not wash it shortly before an appointment on the assumption that it will be ready within a particular number of minutes. Ask what must be fully dry before the next wear and follow the product’s directions. Our washing-routine guide covers the separate sequence, supplies and drying-space questions.
Consider what you would do if it were not ready when you needed to leave. You might schedule care when you can comfortably go without it, use an already suitable alternative, or consider a second piece after confirming the first one’s fit and care. These are planning choices, not evidence that everyone needs two wigs. A second purchase also does not remove either wig’s cleaning requirements.
Keep a new order unchanged while deciding whether to keep it. EVUNIA’s voluntary-return conditions require an unused, unwashed and unaltered item, with lace uncut and original packaging retained; request within 14 calendar days after delivery. Washing it to see whether the routine suits you is already use, not a neutral inspection. Ask about permitted inspection first. A useful pre-purchase question is: “I plan to wear this option on these days, for these hours. What washing interval do you recommend, what changes that interval, and how should I plan drying before the next wear?” Statutory rights remain unaffected.
