How to Wear a Wig With Long Hair Underneath
Start by spreading your own hair into a low, even arrangement instead of gathering all the length into one bulky bun. Then check the wig with that arrangement, any intended liner and the wig’s own wearing instructions. Long hair alone does not tell you which cap size will fit, and tightening an adjustment is not a substitute for sorting out an uneven base.

1. Contain the length without building one raised spot
Begin with your own hair gently untangled and ready for your usual preparation routine. If loose braids suit your hair, separate the length into small sections and arrange them close to the head rather than stacking the ends in one place. Use only a method and fastenings that do not pull or press uncomfortably. A large knot at the crown or nape can leave an uneven base even when the wig’s labeled size sounds right.
Wigs.com’s putting-on guide describes distributing long hair evenly and lists small braids among the preparation options. That is a general starting point, not a rule that everyone must braid or use the same number of pins. The right arrangement depends on your hair and the instructions for the wig and any accessory. Do not add extra tight layers just to force a cap over a raised area.
Decide about a separate liner after planning the hair arrangement. Aurora’s wearing instructions say to tuck your own hair under a wig cap if needed, then place the wig, align it with the hairline and check fit before altering lace. The optional liner is different from the wig’s built-in base. A smooth-looking liner does not prove that the wig above it has enough room; see the separate-cap guide before buying an accessory you may not need.

2. Check the prepared combination before changing the wig
For a wig you have decided to wear, place it using its instructions and align the front with your natural hairline. Check whether the base is sitting evenly around the sides and back, whether your own hair is contained, and whether any fastening or braid is pressing underneath. If the wig rides up or sits at an angle, take it off and review the preparation rather than pulling harder on the front. Do not cut lace or the wig’s hair to make an unresolved fitting problem disappear.
Keep the arrangement consistent when comparing fit. If you change from one large bun to several flatter sections, or add a liner, you have changed the combination you are assessing. Follow the head-measuring guide and tell the seller how you plan to prepare your hair. Ask for the selected cap’s dimensions and permitted adjustment, not just whether it is called average or glueless. Aurora’s listed 13 × 6-inch lace area describes part of its construction; it is not a head-circumference measurement.
For a new order, confirm the permitted inspection before use and keep the item unchanged while a fit question is unresolved. EVUNIA’s voluntary-return conditions require a request within 14 calendar days after delivery and an unused, unwashed, unaltered wig, with lace uncut and original packaging retained. If you cannot find a gentle arrangement that works, explain your hair length, preparation and where the cap fails to sit correctly. Do not assume that buying a larger size or adding another liner will solve it. Statutory rights remain unaffected.
