Wig Weight in Grams: Check What the Number Includes
Read the words next to the weight before comparing the number. A specification that says “weight including packaging” does not establish the weight of the wig alone. On the Elara Brown Highlights page checked for this guide, the selected length was 26 inches and the listed 300 g explicitly included packaging. Do not turn that figure into a claim about the weight you would wear, the amount of hair, or how comfortable it will feel.

1. Compare the same quantity for the exact options
Keep three questions separate: what was weighed, which option it describes, and which unit was used. Hair alone, a complete wig and a wig packed for an order are different quantities. A number described only as “weight” needs clarification if your decision depends on it. Converting ounces to grams changes the unit; it cannot tell you whether a box or other contents were included.
For a concrete comparison, Elara with Brown Highlights selected showed 26 inches, a 13 × 6-inch lace area, one wig per order unit, and 300 g including packaging. Aurora with Golden Mixed Layers selected showed 16 inches, a 13 × 6-inch lace area and one wig per unit; its visible specification table did not give a comparable weight. Both selected pages showed $199 when checked. That is enough to compare those listed lengths and prices, but not enough to rank their worn weight.
Use the product link, color and selected length when asking for clarification: “For this exact option, what is the dry weight of the complete wig without packaging, a display head or separate accessories? Is that figure an approximate specification or a measurement of the item being supplied?” Keep the answer with the option you intend to order. Do not subtract an assumed box weight from 300 g or copy another length’s figure into the comparison.

2. Use weight alongside fit, rather than as a comfort score
Even with comparable wig-only weights, keep the other buying questions open. A total in grams does not state the cap’s circumference, its permitted adjustment range or where an attachment sits. Likewise, a 13 × 6-inch lace specification describes an area of construction, not head size or a weight distribution. Use the measurement guide to prepare your fit questions separately instead of treating a smaller number as proof of a better fit.
Describe why weight matters to you. You might want to compare two similar styles, understand a parcel specification, or avoid committing to a long style without knowing its requirements. The answer you need will differ. Ask about the cap and intended routine as well as the number; do not infer breathability, all-day comfort or security from grams. If the actual wig-only weight is unavailable and it is essential to your purchase, leave that comparison unresolved rather than guessing which style is lighter.
On arrival, confirm the selected option and follow the permitted inspection before altering or wearing it. EVUNIA’s voluntary-return policy requires a request within 14 calendar days after delivery, with the item unused, unwashed and unaltered, lace uncut and original packaging kept. If a stated specification appears inconsistent with what arrived, retain the listing and contact EVUNIA with the order reference and clear details. A weight question does not require cutting, thinning or washing the wig first. Statutory rights remain unaffected.
